  • Daisy, Tally, Grace and me have had a lovely weekend at a herdingseminar with Marion Fuchs.
We've had two wonderful days with nice people and have learnt a lot. Marion has a really good feeling for young dogs and gave us handlers at the right time an "Ohm!" to calm down and stop stressing our dogs!

Tally, who has been a bit rough and stressed at the sheep in the last months learnt to calm down and that he has to concentrate and work with only small moves to work the sheep and he relaxed, what a good feeling to have a sovereign dog again!

Grace made good steps into the right direction again and shows a nice feeling for balance at sheep, something we can build on.

Daisy has had the chance to work on a really big field and showed impressive outruns on both sides. Firstly she got a bit stressed (or me) when she worked the sheep at low distance but learnt how to drive the sheep away from me. It was incredible how much all my dogs learnt in just a few minutes "Ohm"!!!
Thank you, Marion, what a wonderful weekend!

  • Double Cacib and Club Show with CAC in Ljubljana (Slovenia)
It was such a stressful and tiring weekend: three shows in two days. I wouldn't manage it without the great help of Julie, thank you so much, darling! And Tally and Grace did so wonderful, presented themselves lovely although the were so tired.

We've had a lot of competitors from all over Europe: Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Germany and The Netherlands. Results:

    • Saturday Morning (Stella Clark, GB)
      Tally (Intermediate): Exc. 1, CaC
      Grace (Junior): Very Good
    • Saturday Evening (John R. Walsh, Irl)
      Tally (Intermediate): Exc. 1, CaC
      Grace (Junior): Very Good 2
    • Sunday (Milan Krinke - CZ)
      Tally (Intermediate): Exc. 1 CaC
      Grace (Junior): Exc. 1, Juniorwinner

So we did really well: 6 starts and 4 won by our kennel! We're so proud of out youngsters!
Tally has now three tickets for the Slovenian Champion and now we've to wait a year to finalize his Slovenian Champion with the fourth one. Grace got her first ticket for the Slovenian Junior Champion.

  • Now it is official: Zemo is my young police dog. I took him at the age of 3 months on 30th of September for the Austrian police (actually to give him to another dog handler later), but I fell in love with him immediately and so I asked my boss to keep him myself. Chili will be 9 in April and has got Arthrosis in both shoulders. So it was a good time to have a puppy following her.
Zemo is a Belgian Shepherd - Malinois - from a wellknown workingline, bred by Markus Schwendinger from Vorarlberg. He shows great potential in working, high aggression level, good nerves, loves to work and is such a clever boy - and he is mummys darling!
The moment I saw him I have wanted to keep him, because I saw what he could grow into and he really matures well.
A big "Thank you" to my bosses and trainers who didn't want to seperate the big team Lisi & Zemo, so that I have been able to keep him!

Find more information about Zemo --> here.

  • We have been at a sheep herding training with Barbara to learn handling Tally better at sheep.
It also has been the first time for Grace at sheep, she is 10 months now. And she did so well! She worked very calm and concentrated and knew exactly what to do. Grace collected the sheep, found the point of balance at once and brought them to me, what a clever girl she is!!!
Some pictures can be seen on Grace's page. Also a new herding foto of Tally on his page.

  • Today a shocking message arrived: Double Jack Pot (Cinderella Princess of Green Borderline x Jakovall Truly Entranded) ran into a car and was killed. What a tragedy! This is the first member of the "of Green Borderline"-family who left us. Our toughts are with his human family and we want to thank them for those happy years he was allowed to spent with them.
